Network Construction: The T1 Company network represents a hybrid network comprised of traditional DS3 and DS1 circuits, utilizing a digital access cross-connect system (DACS), asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching and the Internet protocol (IP) to offer a wide combination of traditional leased line, Internet and long distance voice services. At the T1 Company main point-of-presence (POP), located within the Switch and Data collocation center in Cleveland, Ohio, is an array of Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Adtran ATLAS DACS, and Compaq DL380 servers. All network hardware is equipped with redundant power supplies, and all web and mail servers are equipped with redundant and mirrored drives to ensure the highest level of uptime and availability. All local network access (customer local loops) come into the T1 Company POP via SBC Ameritech channelized DS3 circuits offering the highest level of reliability, and the fastest possible route to installation and provisioning. Internet traffic is carried out over separate DS3 circuits to the Qwest Broadband IP Backbone network. All network services are ordered and provisioned in compliance with the Federal Access (FCC2) tariff and sanctioned to carrying Interstate, Intrastate and IntraLATA voice and data traffic. |
