Who we Are:
The T1 Company Cleveland resources are located within a highly secure carrier class co-location facility. All hardware and equipment is housed inside locked cabinets, with fully redundant carrier-grade DC and AC power systems, video monitored 24/7. Climate control and fire suppression as well as standby generators are also located at the site. The T1 Company maintains a Cisco driven network with redundant AC/DC power and multiple DS-3 connections to both SBC Ameritech and Qwest Communications. Multiple Compaq servers supply the power to drive all Web and email applications. Servers are fully mirrored and maintain load-balancing. Firewall protection for T1 Company network is provided via Checkpoint Firewall-1 software. The T1 Company has selected Qwest Communications as its primary IP backbone provider, and through its wholesale agreement with Qwest is able to provide direct high performance, highly affordable dedicated Internet and IP services to customers throughout the world. The T1 Company was formed by a small group of professionals and engineers with a long history in telecommunications, advanced networking and Internet technology. Company president Gene Denman began his career as a military communications systems engineer troubleshooting voice and data information networks for the US Air Force in Europe from 1976 to 1981. He was later employed by Sprint Communications in a similar capacity until 1986 when he became the Director of the Network Control Center for LCI International (now Qwest Communications). In 1989, while still employed at LCI Mr. Denman was appointed to serve in the Office of the Chairman and was involved in strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions, which later led to his appointment as President of a small ($20+ million) operating company called Afford-A-Call that LCI had acquired. Mr. Denman left LCI and Afford-A-Call in 1993 to start his own interconnect company which he later sold to his partner in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Denman was a Director for Extant Corporation and was responsible for designing, engineering, implementing and monitoring (via a Network Control Center) a highly sophisticated national backbone network based on ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technology. Extant was purchased in 2000 by energy conglomerate Dynegy Corporation. The T1 Company was launched to address the need of small and medium-sized companies to harness the power of IP (Internet Protocol) technology as a tool to drive their businesses and to allow them to compete in a world of big corporations. The T1 Company recognizes and understands the void that often exists inside large "telephone" companies as result of advancements in technology between the capabilities of a well engineered network and the ability of its sales force to understand and communicate the strategic advantages to its customers. The T1 Company strongly believes that IP transmission technology will eventually become the transport mechanism for all voice, data and video media within a business and that T1 lines (or greater) will be the "conduit" used to carry the traffic. The intent is to begin with Internet connectivity, then gradually migrate more and greater applications over the conduit using IP. The result is considerable cost savings, better performance, efficiency and improved customer service leading to significant competitive advantage for those who implement the technology with a strategic plan. The T1 Company has partnered with The Compass Alliance to assist both the T1 Company and its customers to implement and manage a planned and strategic migration of voice and data applications toward IP. The T1 Company strives to provide a quality service with a simple service agreement and reasonable terms. |
